I viewed your picture section and thought your aux. lighting on the ROPS looked interesting. Could you provide a closer picture of how you mounted them? and where you spliced for power? I own an L3130 and want to install strobes and upper aux. lights for nighttime maintenance on my camp road. The current factory headlights are useless except for transporting. Thanks

51, I wish I could, but we have since mounted a curtis cab and the lights are no longer mounted to the ROPS.

What we had done is used a second hole in the ROPS hinge to mount the light brackets. The second bolt in the bracket was a "Jamb" bolt against the ROPS to keep the bracket tight. I'm not sure your L-series will have the second blank hole like the B-series does. The light brackets were fabricated from L2x2x1/4.

The wiring was simplified since the tractor was harnessed for a rear work light. Under the rear fender (we added from 2910 parts ) was a blank plug for the rear work light.

We used this for power and had a seperate switch for the added lights. Wires were run through the ROPS and out at the hinge to the lights.

The same lights are now mounted on top of the cab, with a fuse box added inside the cab.

Sorry we can't supply better pictures. The lights worked great on the ROPS. ....

Thanks Beagle. I also have a rear worklite mounted on my right fender for backhoe work.I bet there might be a plug underneath, like you have, so I can splice in. My ROPS fold down as your do so I believe that extra both hole at the hinge will be there when I look. My tractor is at my camp right now so I havent been able to check out these things yet. Snowed in till I can get up there sometime. Dont you just love winter???? Thank you for your time. Will ....
